April 28, 2007

Spring Awakening
Starts at 2:00 PM
Location: Meadows School of the Arts: Greer Garson Theatre
One of the most censored plays of the early 20th century, due to its frank treatment of adolescent sexuality, Spring Awakening revolves around three 14-year-olds struggling with puberty and receiving repressive, conflicting messages but little guidance from adults, with grim consequences. (NOTE: With themes including abortion, homosexuality, rape and suicide, and with significant sexual content, the play is recommended for mature audiences only.)
