Academic Freedom Petition

May 9, 2008

Ben Stein’s movie helps viewers to become aware of the actual pressures put upon any educator that wants to give their students a grounding if the various origin theories, including Darwinism.  This flies in the face of the dogma dictated by many in control of our children’s education.  Those wanting to question, evaluate and compare are being . . . expelled or worse.  Go see the movie.  Click Here to see where it is showing near you.

Why is this post here?  This post is about academic freedom.  Freedom to choose based on our best ‘due diligence’.  Freedom that allows us the right to explore, seek out, and hopefully find a better paradigm for:  better health, a better way to open a can of beans or understand life itself.  Click on Ben  to see the trailer of his movie and CHICK HERE to get a good audio about this matter.

Support Academic Freedom

ExpelledBenSteinAcross America, the freedom of scientists, teachers, and students to question Darwin is coming under increasing attack by self-appointed defenders of the theory of evolution who are waging a malicious campaign to demonize and blacklist anyone who disagrees with them.

You can help by signing the Academic Freedom Petition and stand up for free speech and free scientific inquiry.

“We, the undersigned American citizens, urge the adoption of policies by our nation’s academic institutions to ensure teacher and student academic freedom to discuss the scientific strengths and weaknesses of Darwinian evolution. Teachers should be protected from being fired, harassed, intimidated, or discriminated against for objectively presenting the scientific strengths and weaknesses of Darwinian theory. Students should be protected from being harassed, intimidated, or discriminated against for expressing their views about the scientific strengths and weaknesses of Darwinian theory in an appropriate manner.”
